Does the thermal paste that some people say comes included any good?

It is fair at best. I did a decent amount of research on thermal paste before my build. What I found was you are better off spending an extra $12 to get a quality thermal paste. Several tests I saw online showed the paste that comes with CPU coolers does not perform very well. I other words the supplied thermal paste will not keep your CPU as cool as a quality paste will.

No, it does not. It does come with a small tube of thermal paste, I believe.

what kind of liquid does it use, in case it needs to be cleaned/filled?

This is a closed loop setup. You should never have to refill it. Worst case, there are several websites that sell fluids for watercooled systems.

Does it work with Asus Aura Sync?

Accepted Answer

It only works with the addressable header on the ASUS motherboards.  If your board has only the standard RGB header, you will have to use the supplied controller to make the RGB work.

no. this is an all in one closed loop unit, aka sealed. no filling or maintenance needed.

Not that I am aware of. It comes with a controller (wired.. not wireless) and I keep it in the case. When I want to change the colors I just open it up. It has a couple preset color options to choose from and that's about it

I see the control box has a 4 pin rgb header, is this compatible with asus prime x470 aura sync?the board only  has a 12v 4 pin rgb headers

No ARGB requires 3 pins if you plug it into a 4 pin It will short the leds and loose functionality. I would double check your motherboard most have 3 pin (ARGB) and 4 pin (RGB) headers.
