Can You switch the 120mm fans with say red LED 120mm fans? Would it effect the product?

yes, these are good fans. Most led fans are not of excellent quality. I like the feel and heft of these fans when removed. Also you want them to operate at the same airflow. It can be a trick to modify a product like this but sure you can do that if you have the ability. However I would separate the power for the led's from the fan power myself.

Yes, it has mounting for both AMD and Intel processors of the current generation. Keep in mind this thing is HUGE though and you will need to have a case that can accommodate it (Mid-Full ATX).

I would think if the chip mounts standard but be warned the case better have a lot of room had to flip a fan to the outside to fit it in mine. Cools well though. I did not use the LGA 1151 for the build though so take my answer with a grain of salt.

Does anyone know what the difference between this and the other versions (C5, C6, etc) are? The stats seem all the same to me

I found the C4 and C5 (no C6)
They are exactly the same in every way except weight.
The C4 weighs 794g and the C5 weighs 811. 
My opinion would be packaging changed. All other specs including size, voltage draw etc. are identical.

Hi,

I would like to know if this "Thermaltake NiC C4 (CLP0607) 120mm CPU Cooler" fits my Dell XPS 8500 Desktop? Processor is i7. Is there enough room for the cpu cooler, the ram and the video card?

I currently have an AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series video card install on my desktop with 32gb of ram using all for ram slots.

This will fit your i7, no problem. I am unfamiliar with what motherboard dell uses for the XPS 8500, but you should have clearance there. I have it on a custom build with 2 gtx980s and there is plenty of room. Only thing I would suggest taking into advisory is how wide your XPS case is. I am running an Asus board dual vid cards and a cheap 30 buck case. Everything fits but when I put the side panel on the case there's less than a quarter inch between that side panel and CPU cooler.

Connected cpu fan to cpu fan header will not spin above 1080 rpms is there a way to increase this? Tried turning speed control to full will not go any faster then 1080 rpm.

See my review ...but basically, you have to turn OFF fan control in BIOS. Due to the way it interacts (with at least some more modern BIOS's), either you mainboard or the controller only deliver signal to one of the fans ...I'm not "electric knowledgeable", but I suspect the header is doing something like measuring the voltage of BOTH fans and combining them. And not being able to differentiate in a dual fan setup of the controller switch. One solution might be to remove the switch from the occasion, and wire each fan to a separate mainboard fan header. But I found (on my 990FXA mainboard) that by turning the header's sensor OFF, turning the VR switch all the way on, and using the Speedfan utility to control the [dual] fan speeds, I didn't have to rewire. And both fans now sync to whatever speed I want to set them at. Try it. Let people know (via a review) if it worked for you. Cheers!
