CPU Cooling

Comments: Excellent performance... I use a SF2 to blow air. Excellent results with high voltage overclocks. Two warnings: All of mine came with deep machine marks, which required lapping. Also, the fins are close together, so if there's a lot of dust in the area, the fins will get clogged after a few months, impeding air flow, so occassional maintenance may be necessary.

Comments: Just installed this with a smartfan II, on a athlon 2800+ I was able to overclock it from 2.08ghz to 2.36ghz - and the temp is only ~39 C idle ~43 load! This is a very nice heatsink, solid copper, very smooth contact surface. My old thermalengine heatsink on a athlon 1.3ghz non-overclocked ran at about 45 C ! I highly recommend this heatsink in combination with the smartfan II

Comments: this is a good heat sink keeps my CPU at 40c OC to 2.212Ghz just put a good fan on it and you will be fine i have a 80mm Tornado on it and it is great

Comments: Bought this heatsink few weeks ago to go with xp3000 (barton w.400mhz fsb). HS is cooled by smartfan, but despite the good reviews im getting a little high temps of about 55'C on load and 51-52'C when idle. All the temps are with Smartfan at max rpm's. I don't know if its just MY heatsink or its the way it works....

Comments: I'm using this heatsink with a Thermaltake Smart Case Fan II and manually controlling the fan speed. With the fan setup at approx. 2250 RPM it keeps my Athlon 1800+ (Palomino) at 40c idle and 46c load. Those temps may not seem that impressive but this setup is extremely quiet.

Comments: Based on reviews written in this forum, I purchased this heat sink along with a TT SmartFan-II. This is installed on a barton 2500 overclocked to 2.160 Ghz, and tempertures never go above 40° C. In a chieftek case with 5 case fans. Heat sink is high quality, I didnot have to lap bottom of heat sink, it was very smooth. Used the newest Arctic silver thermal paste, recommend this product as well.

Comments: Great heatsink, took my CPU temp down 10C, was around 52 load using Volcano 7+, now around 42C, paited with a SmartFan II. Another great Thermalright product.
