Is this compatible to fit onto an LGA 775?

In the compatibility section it specifies that this is compatible with:

Intel: 1150 / 2011 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 775

AMD: FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2

It should work but take into account that this is huge for most cases. You might need low profile ram or try placing it pointing upwards if you case permits this kind of ventilation.

It should. According to Corsair:

"Intel’s new chips may necessitate a new socket, but they’ve done right by the enthusiast community by sticking with the same mounting system as their previous mainstream platforms. That means that any cooler that was compatible with LGA 1150, LGA 1155, or LGA 1156 will be compatible with the new LGA 1151."

The heat sink will fit the case. The side fan is under the heat sink. I'm running this on an 8320 clocked to 4.4 with absolutely no heat issues and very low noise levels. The ram will need to go in slots 3 & 4 so your 2 x 8 configuration is fine. Has to be low sitting heat shield (no sink louvers) to fit slots 1 & 2

Can you change the color of the fan?

I believe it is a single color fan, so you would be required to remove the fan itself and replace it. So essentially no, I do not believe so.

can the fan come with green led? instead of blue?

Unless there has been any recent changes to the product, no. This only comes with blue illumination. It is not an over powering light, just enough to cast a light blue glow in the case.

I have a ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME (ROG) LGA 2011 with 16GB of tall ram. Intel 3960X CPU. Case is a Corsair 800D.

Will this fit and clear my RAM?

My trident x ram was too tall even without the removable heatspreader on them. The fan itself sits closer to the ram sockets than you would think. You could trim the bottom aluminum fins off and that gives you another 3mm of room before you have to worry about the fan hitting the ram. Hope this helps.

its quite big (wide) and beefy,but not as tall or if anything the same height as the evo 212, i didnt find anything on pcpartpicker, but seeing how the case is compact i highly doubt it .

Don't suppose there's a way to customize the fan to use a different color LED is there? Blue doesn't exactly match my Color Scheme.

First, let me say that I really like the product.  I joke around that it could act as a back-up cooling system to a nuclear power plant.

To answer your question, it would be difficult to change out the LED's in the fan.  I'm not going to say it's impossible, it is far beyond my meager high school electronics class training.

From what I understand, Zalman does make fans already with other colored LED's and perhaps NewEgg just doesn't carry them for product turnaround reasons.

If you could deal with the blue, this would be a good choice.
