Work on my AMD Phenom II x 4 939BE?

Yes, should fit without a problem.  In my particular installation, I was limited to installing the cooler with the fan oriented with an upward flow into the bottom exhaust fan of my power supply, as there were interferences in the other three directions, even though the cooler itself isn't hugely oversized.  I convinced myself this was a plus, after some misgivings about blowing hot air into the supply, but with the constant airflow of the Zalman plus the two supply fans, it seems to have worked out well.  But, I did not trust the rubber mounting pins, and opted for nylon screws and nuts to secure the cooler support to the motherboard.  Altogether, I'm pretty happy with it.  Good looking piece of hardware if that's a consideration.

Will this be noticable on a fx 8320 at 56-57 c gaming with stock?

Dont bother with this cooler your temps wont be much better, you would be better off with a  ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise Blue LED CPU Cooler or this cooler ZALMAN CNPS12X 120mm Long Life Bearing High Performance Triple Fan CPU Cooler These two coolers will provide you with much lower temps and better stability if you overclock or you could just watercool which will provide much better temps overall than those other coolers.

Does this fan come with thermal paste?

I'm pretty sure it came with a little blister pack, but I tossed it in favor of branded.  (After extensive research, I went with HeGrease and threw out any leftover Arctic Silver)

I was wondering if this heat sink would fit an fm2/fm2+ mobo? I see fm1 but am unsure.

Not sure about FM2/2+. I installed 2 on different AM3+ boards today and they installed easily. The instructions mention most current AMD sockets except FM2/2+. The installation for AMD boards consists of two clips that slip over the "ears" that come pre-installed on the motherboard. The screws you see on the edges just tighten those clips securely. They have some play in and out.

Would this fan be better than the stock fan for i7 4790k?

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with that processor. It is keeping my i3 4330 nice and cool though. However, after only 16 months of use its fan is beginning to make mechanical noise.

can this run a AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor on turbo at a resinoble temp?

It should be able to. My brother has the processor with this fan and at one point was idling at 18c and around 60c under heavy load. It's an amazing air cooler.

Does the fan push or pull the air across the cooling fins?

Fan pushes the air thru the fins.  you should mount it so the fins are closest the to exhaust side of the case.

WHAT IS THE HEIGHT?

Zalman's support site sets the height at 134mm or a tad over 5 1/4 inches.   The problem with the use of this cooler doesn't lay in its height so much as possible interference of its mounting bracket with motherboard components.  I found it could only be used with the fan facing upward into the power supply's bottom fan.  Although that lost a good deal esthetically, it seems to work all right.

Question 9

Will this fit on an micro ITX motherboard and still leave space for the memory and video card?  The specific board I am looking at is a MSI Z87I.

i have a intel core i5 1155 socket 4670K CPU im currently in need of a new cpu cooler but i have my CPU OC'd to 4.2 temps are at 57c idle on load words cant even say would this CPU cooler be great for what i have trying to do temp wise also was wanting to know if it would fit in a in win mealstrom PC full tower case i currently have six 120mm fans on the side panel for extra cooling?

almost any third party cooler is going to be better than what you get stock. As far as fitting in your case, i cannot say for sure, but its not as enormous as some other coolers, it only sticks up past my video cards about an inch to inch and a half.
I only got this particular cooler because it got some decent reviews online and it was cheap, plus i had been using a the stock heat sink/fan for years, i personally recommend this cooler, but im not sure how it will do against overclocking, for overclocking, to be on the safe side, i would spend the extra 40+ dollars and get a closed loop liquid cooler for your CPU similar to the ZALMAN LQ-310, there are a different models and different manufacturers, and liquid cooling would be better than fan cooled, plus with it being a closed loop liquid cooler, there are no other parts that you need because its all in one unit.
