Question 1

Does the radiator and cooling fan mount inside the case or externally??  Why I ask, because I have use cases that have two holes in the back for the hoses.  I have just bought my first liquid cooled CPU cooler an LQ 310.

Potentially you could remove the hoses and mount it outside but I wouldn't recommend it for a couple reasons. The hoses may not seat right causing it to leak, disconnecting the hoses could void the warranty so said leaking leaves you with a damaged system, and the radiator is more open to being damaged. I have the same holes on my case, but due to the risks involved I never bothered. You may be able to find one of the styles where you run the tubing yourself, but if you have the room I would mount it inside the case.

Question 2

Will any of these similar water cooling solutions work on Opteon C32 sockets?

I just did a quick search & the  majority points @ the Noctua NH-U12DO A3 AMD Opteron CPU Cooler being the best match at ATM & IMHO these are really sweet, can't really beat a dual fan cooler plus know that fans are replaceable! If my Zalman ever failed I would have to replace the whole unit, but I had it service for 9 months now and it still running strong, it being a close loop self contained system I need worry about the pump failing the most. Another thing is that when I installed the back plate bracket for this unit it was skewed, meaning the MOBO holes are not mis-aligned it's just the way the design is ... took me a little while to see it seems like many of these are built that way.

Does it come with liquid in it?

Yup ... it is self contained and works really well ... installation can be tricky, but it does fit. Maintenance is a must, open up your chassis every 6 months or so to clear out the dust, use a vacuum or a brush to remove any debris from to radiator & fan assembly while you are at it don't forget to vac out the power supply. I had an incident once where my PS was overheating bc it was clogged up with dust, whereas my box with run and perform normally but would shut down after ten minutes, I did not realise the problem til my PS fried.

Question 4

The images in the product description show that it is possible to get a second fan onto the cooler, but this seems to require some extra-long screws. Are those screws included? And is it possible to simply mount this in pull using such screws and the original fan, or would something prevent this? (such as requiring those screws to mount the rad to my case)

I used regular sized screws to make it work but you will need a small Phillips screwdriver, one that is slim enough to pass thru the screw hole, start the screw with your fingers then use the screwdriver to finish tightening (basically a radiator sandwich > the Zalman fan only has holes on one side so it goes on the tube side... you'll see as you are fussing with it) but I suppose long screws going thru the chassis then fan to rad would work just as well, but the kit only comes with short screws.

How long are the hoses?

as long as you don't have a fan on top of your case you should have no problem reaching your motherboard. Sorry, I dont know exactly how long the hoses are but i'd guess like 6 in

Does this work with Intel 775 socket?

It does have an adapter for intel CPUs but don't think adapter works for socket 775

I am looking to possibly purchase one of these liquid coolers but previously purchased another brand and found that the radiator and CPU mounting hardware were to large to fit in my case because of some connectors on the mother board and the location ot the memory slots.  I was wondering if it is possible to mount the radiator on the outside of the case?  I would probably have to cut a hole for the pump and hoses to fit threw but do not know if this will work.

you could really easily mount the radiator outside of the case if you already have whole on your case . otherwise you gonna have to do the holes yourself. search zalman lq 310 images one of them will give you a really good idea. I couldn't include link here

how thik is the actual radiator not the fan?
