The nMediaPC ICETANK is designed to work inside low-profile, A/V component-style computer cases typically used for home theater PCs. This CPU cooler uses a combination of materials and design techniques to make the most efficient and quietest cooling solution possible without resorting to liquid cooling.
It uses a set of four copper heat pipes attached to a copper base, for improved heat dissipation. On top of the base is an aluminum heatsink similar to those used on the Northbridge chipset on performance motherboards. This gives heat produced by the CPU two separate paths to escape. Heat from the pipes and the base is then further spread and dissipated by a high-density set of aluminum and copper fins.
A 90mm, 2,200rpm rests in a cut out section on top of the fins, pulling hot air up from the heatsink assembly and pushing out of your case. A small control panel can also be installed in a vacant PCI slot opening at the rear of your case to manually adjust fan speed. The ICETANK can be used with AMD Socket 754, 940, 939, and AM2 processors and Intel Socket LGA 775 and 478 processors. A universal bracket makes installation quick and easy; just clip on the heatsink and it's ready.
