Upgrade from the stock CPU cooler that came with your system. The MASSCOOL 5R281B1H3G heatsink and fan assembly is designed to affordably lower the operating temperature of your AMD processors -- from the Athlon MP up to 2600+, Sempron up to 3000+, Athlon XP up to 3400+ and Duron up to 1.8GHz and Intel Celeron up to 1.0GHz.
The base is aluminum with a copper core allowing for better heat dissipation without the higher cost of a pure copper base. High-density aluminum fins draw heat up from the base, quickly spreading heat out to be carried away by the 4,800rpm 60mm fan mounted at the top of the assembly.
Installation is a breeze thanks to the attached three-grip clip. A thermal-grease pad is already applied to the copper core; simply remove the cover from the pad, clip the cooler to your motherboard and connect the 3-pin power cord to your mainboard.
