This fan seams to run good at start up but after a couple minutes it stops working and acts like it wants to run (Kinda twitches and makes noise) but doesn't. Could this be some kind of setting on the pc? I have a Dell XPS 8500 and I'm using the 3 pin motherboard connector.

You can check ur bios q-fan cotrol settings and see what the power percentage is set to for your fans ie 50% 60% etc. Run the fans for a few days at 100% power to break them in. Then you can throttle back to 60% range. If that doesn't work the fan is defective. I ordered two of them. One made noise for about a day, the other had a broken led wire, so i soldered in a new wire. It wasn't worth my time to rma a $14 fan. Great fans. They run solid for 2-3 years.

Yes it's compatible with any motherboard with a molex connection (which is virtually all motherboards) (molex cable is a power cable that is also used to power graphics cards and hard drives)
