You can judge me for the fact mainly because of the looks, not the overclocking. I do wan't to ask, knowing that this is slightly old, and refurbished, is there any chance of it springing a leak, I know a guy that fried his PC because of watercooling. I don't know if it was just CPU or full loop. But if I use this is my upcoming build just for the looks, would it be safe? My build is ganna be: Refurb CX600M, 8gb Ripjaws X 1600mhz. Asrock lga 1150 board. Corsair SPEC-03. Windows vista ultimate(64 bit)(Found lying around, good to save 100 bucks.) I hope this is safe. Can anyone give me advice to weather this will spring a leak or not in chance?

Keith, I purchased one of these (Refurb) about 6 mo. ago. It has been exceptional. Lowered my CPU temps from ~115F with heatsink/fan to usually about 70F. Product looked like new, and no signs of leakage of any sort. I'm running AMD PhenomII X6 1055T on a Asus Sabertooth 990GX MOBO, 16GB Ripjaws, WIN7 Ultimate. Again, no problems at all since installation. Note that if you have a small case, the radiator tanks protrude a bit past the 120mm fan. I originally tried to install in a "Brick" style case, and the tanks were a bit too large to fit inside, but fit in a mid-tower fine. Also remember to set CPU fan in BIOS to full speed, as that runs the pump.

Does the refurbished unit come with Thermal Paste installed, or can I skip cleaning and just apply my own?

Pretty sure it comes with it, its been awhile since I installed it.  If you have better stuff than normal factory heat sink then by all means feel free to remove it and apply your own.  I can tell you that it works great and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Is this also compatible with an Intel Socket 1151?

If you look at the specs it mentions the block compatibility as follows: LGA 115x, 1366, 2011
Socket AM2, AM3, FM1, FM2. Im assuming it is compatible with the whole 1150 series of blocks since the final digit is an x but I do not know for sure.

Will this fit on my 8 core vishera processor?

Hi Mark, this will wok on....AMD AM2, AMD AM3, Intel LGA 1155, Intel LGA 1156, Intel LGA 1366, Intel LGA 2011, Intel LGA 775. I know for sure it will work on AM3+ also. I have this on my AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8320FRHKBOX. It works very well and keeps the cpu temperature around 29-35C. The only thing that could be better is the fan noise, it is a little loud. Hope this helps.

Does this support LGA775?

This particular version does not support LA775, at least according to its specification page. But the first version of this cooler does. The main difference between that one and this one, is that this one's fan is modeled after Corsair's static pressure fans, which you can buy yourself for less than 20 dollars. And the tubes on this version are a little thicker. Otherwise, the first version is still a good cooler and you should definitely consider it.

the product is a good choice and works great but for it to work better you need a case with fans on top  and in front and add the second fan on hydro and it will work great and newegg knows and sells the top product for your pc

Question about control: Can I plug this Liquid cooler unit into a fan controller such as: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811997017 OR Should I do as it says an plug the pump into the CPU fan connector and Fan into a CHA connector? Thanks.

It may work but I would only plug this into the CPU fan header on the motherboard. That pin header interacts with the system bios in ways that a fan controller can not. That being said, if you run the fan for the radiator off a secondary pin header or a fan controller it should work. The caveat is how well it keeps the CPU cooled. If you run it at 100% fan speed at all times I do not see any real negative side effects other than a small amount of additional power consumption and some additional wear on the cooler fan bearings. In other words, as long as the CPU stays in acceptable temperature ranges go for it. You can monitor it through the bios, a desktop app, or a temperature lead that comes with many fan controllers. Your bios CPU FAN 1 header but as long as the pump and radiator fan are working your fine.

Can this be used with a LGA 1155 socket? Also is the radiator a 120m? First time builder here, just want to make sure I buy correct parts.

I am an owner of Corsair's Hydro Series H60. The radiator is indeed designed to fit a 120mm fan mount but takes up much more space than a typical 120mm fan in the thickness dimension. I strongly recommend getting a very roomy case for this build. This fan comes with LGA 1155 socket compatibility in the box. A refurbish or open box discounted item may no longer have it but a sealed box new item will. I have always been pleased with this purchase. Good luck with your Rig!

Does this generation fit the LGA 1150? On the specs it just says "LGA 115x"
