Question 1

What is the difference between this and the new H110i ? I am so confused by this, all I can tell is the shape of the radiator. I am gonna buy one but need to know which is gonna be better for a 125w AMD 8core lol.

To answer your question I need to know whether you mean the H110i GT or the H110i GTX.  The H115i is the SAME exact unit as the H110i GTX.  It has merely been renamed to avoid confusion with the models (and for good reason -- these models are confusing as heck).   The "GT" units are different because they are made by a different OEM.  Asetek makes the "GTX" units while CoolIt makes the "GT" units.   There is no difference in the H110i GTX and the H115i other than the new name and some very minor changes (I believe Corsair said they are using a more standard fan spacing on the H115i to help compatibility with more cases).  Overall, though, they look exactly the same and will perform exactly the same.  I would just buy whichever happens to be cheapest.  (BTW, the NZXT Kraken X61 is also made by Asetek and thus will perform almost identically to the H110/H115.  The only difference is it has an NZXT logo on the pump block.  When you buy these coolers you are really buying the name attached since most all of them are made by Asetek.  So it comes down to who has the best warranty.  Corsair is 5 years and NZXT is 6 years.  Most others are 2 to 3 years).

Question 2

Does this Cooler already have the coolant inside of it?

Yes, it is a pre-closed system. I suggest you make sure your case will fit this LARGE 280mm radiator. Although my case claimed to fit a 280mm in the top, I still had to cut &grind for it to fit. . . also for ATX 8-pin and 4-pin power cables to fit onto my mobo.  Good Luck!!

Question 3

In the manual there is no explication about the sata power cable. Should i plug it ?

That's what powers the other two pwm plugs that come off the unit to act as power for two fans of your choosing or off the radiator. There's also another one with a single wire which looks like an additional ground that will also need to be plugged as well. I noticed the manual didn't have this either!

Question 4

Does the Cooler already have the thermal paste applied?

Yes, a precise amount is already on when you unbox it. I suggest not to use any other thermal paste. If you have thermal paste, unless or until this one drys out (which could take a long time) so save your thermal compound for another time. The special thermal compound per-applied is uniquely applied and uniquely made specifically for this liquid cooler to run on your CPU. Removing the thermal paste and using a different paste is not something you should do.

Question 5

Can I use 3 120mm fans on this radiator?  Reason I'm asking is because I'm interested in buying the Corsair HD LED 3pack fans but they only come in 120mm.  Thanks!

No you can not it's designed for 2 only. Now you might be able to connect one of the fans to case above radiator possibly as Long as it pulls heat upward or what ever direction you send it but I alway mount radiator at top of case and vent up since heat rises

Question 6

If the corsair logo is lit up, does that mean the pump should be working? My CPU keeps overheating. The fans are running, the radiator isn't getting hot, and my BIOS shows the temperature quickly rising before I have to turn it off to prevent CPU damage. I checked various forums/guides and the manual to make sure it was plugged in properly: power by SATA, CPU fan single pin, etc. I also double checked to make sure the heatsink sits tightly against the CPU.

Yes if the light is on on the pump then it is powered. You need to make sure you have cosair link installed because your bios doesn't control the pump on this model.Need to be 100% sure you have good silver paste on CPU and not to much just enough to slightly coat the CPU so there is no air in between but enough so the CPU isn't dry. if you put to much the CPU will overheat. As i have had many cpus and have learned that anything other then arctic silver paste is bad as far as temps my cpu at idle is 26 degrees and at max about 40. So in you case check to make sure you are on own sata power( nothing else connected on that power), check paste is on properly, go into bios and load optimized defaults. make sure fans on radiator are blowing through the radiator. My radiator is mounted at the top of my case with the fans underneath it blowing up since heat rises, make sure corsair link is installed, double check all cords on pump. The fans power run on pump not mobo. if that doesn't fix it return pump get new one. Let me know how it went

Is a h115i (or h110i) compatible with a top mount (with optical drive bays installed) in any of the following cases:

Fractal Designs Define R5?
Phanteks Enthoo Pro?
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M?

H115i  is not compatible with Fractal Designs Define R5 and Fractal Designs Define R4.
For R4:
Rests on the rear fan blowing out, bottom of the RAM and the power cable to the motherboard. The height of the heatsink with fixed fan 51 mm. 
On top of the body because of the arrangement of the holes for the fans you can attach only one part of the LSS radiator (only 4 screws 8).

i have an AMD FX 8320.  Will this fit?

Yes, it will fit. 
Both AM3 and AM3+ uses the same support bracket for aftermarket coolers.

Question 9

I've noticed a lot of comments about pump problems.  I was wondering if any one could elaborate?

The pump needs to be installed properly. If the motherboard is vertical in the case there is a top side to the pump that needs to be up. The tubes need to be manipulated as little as possible and all of the wired connections need to be installed onto the motherboard properly. Low end motherboards may not be able fully support this cpu cooler. Properly installed this pump is the best factory sealled liquid cooler on the market. Never buy used or open box.

Question 10

Does it matter how the pump is oriented when placed on the cpu other than for aesthetic purposes.? I.e. If it's oriented to where the Corsair logo can be read from left to right, or top to bottom does that effect the way the pump works?

While I never extensively tested this I did move mine around several times to see what aesthetic I preferred.  The temp never seemed to fluctuate/I never noticed a physical difference (you can hear the pump a tiny bit if the room is very quiet).  The main disadvantage is that the cables can never truly be "tucked" somewhere like a custom setup would allow for.  Ultimately I wasn't happy with any setup I tried but I love the performance.
