Will I need to plug in the fans by them selfs or does it come with a splitter or some other mechanism to plug in the fans?

The pump will plug into your CPU Fan header.  There will be a Y-cable from the pump to connect both of the radiator fans to.  There is also a USB cable that you connect from the pump to a USB header on the motherboard.

You can find the install instructions here on Corsairs site, it will not let me post the link for you.

It's very easy to install if you follow them carefully and you have at least a semi-roomy case.

Question 2

Is it compatible with AM3+?

I installed it on a asus crosshair motherboard with a amd fx-8350, so yes it will work.  It comes with Intel and AMD hardware both.

My case had a 200mm side fan, and I had to clock my hoses on the radiator so they were towards the motherboard so it didn't hit the fan and keep me from putting the side cover on.

Do you need to install thermal paste to your CPU or does it already have thermal paste on the cooler?

Is this a closed system or will there be a need to refill the system manually? Is filling it manually an easy process?

It is a closed system, ready to go out of the box. I'm not sure if there is a port on it to empty and refill because I bought this for a friend. There should be no need to do so though.

Question 5

Would this Liquid cooler fit one fan slot, or would it take two like the others? Just curious because I'm thinking about making a hybrid 1080 liquid cooled. I plan on using the 240 mm Liquid cooler for my CPU.

This radiator requires one 120mm fan location inside your chassis. You need to consider the size of your case/chassis & clearance between the inside 120mm fan and the motherboard's highest point as well as whether the radiator tubing length to the cpu heatsink will comfortably fit upon the GPU (which I'm assuming you're attempting to achieve). For a 1080 gpu, I'd consider a 240mm AIO at a minimum. It will produce more heat than most any modern cpu will.

Question 6

Compatibility list doesn't show newest LGA 1151.  Is it compatible with Intel's newest cpus?

It is compatible, that's Newegg's mistake in the specs.  Look at Corsair's own website and see for yourself.

Question 7

Is it necessary to connect the link to USB cable?  I am not doing RSB anything and my mobo only has one USB 2.0 header (so front of case is absent of live USB).

Joe,   firstly, if you want full functionality you could always get a usb header splitter to get more headers internally or many pci cards with additional usb ports would give you an extra header.  It looks like you wouldn't be able to monitor or control fan speeds without usb connection. Will the Corsair Hydro Series H80i V2 fit in the Cooler Master MasterBox 5 Case?

When I bought the cooler it was for a different brand of case, but my case was large, like most these days, and it fit well. The only issue I can think of is the width of the fans and radiator once assembled, being too large and may cover the CPU area which you have to attach the cold contact to. This is of course only if your fan vents are near the CPU. I hope it works for you.

Would this be able to cool a FX-8370 (125w TDP)?

Yes, it cooled a 9590 but issue isn't cpu temps its the VRM temps i couldnt keep under control. Just make sure your motherboard can handle a 125w cpu, my m5a99fx said it handle it but at 220w it was over in 20 minutes and locked up, even cpu was only around 54C motherboard was 85C.

Question 10

Can this work with a single fan? Is there a significant change to using 1 vs 2 fans, or does it just rise a few degrees.

I havnt tried one fan but im sure it would work ok but a few degrees hotter. I would get better fan if you are just using one thiugh. The ones it comes with are not great. My cpu (6600k oc'd to 4.5ghz) runs at about 30 C idle and 40C under load with both fans.
