Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua's award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.
Pros:
► Replaced my H100 with this unit and I can confirm that the D14 preforms better overall
► Little to no maintenance during my 7 years of 3d meshing and gaming harassment
► The paste that this kit includes is top quality
► Idles at 30 post the 40min threshold. Which is simply amazing
Cons:
✘ You'll need to use Noctua's website for ram clearance if you do purchase this unit
✘ Could use acrobatic hands during installation if you've a tighter case
✘ Could use "hello-kitty" band-aids for said acrobatic hands after installation, adding to costs
Overall Review: I would absolutely recommend this unit.
Pros: 5 Stars
Cons: 5 Stars
Pros: I had the AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W pushed to 5.1 No problem, until I bent the pins on the CPU.
Cons: On a NZXT has a place for a side 200mm fan. The door really didn't have room enough to close so moved it to the top.
Overall Review: I read it out performed many low end liquid coolers. It keep that 125 W cool just fine. The new model has 1 fan compared to the 2 fans on the NH-D14 so it might make a difference.
Pros: One of the best air cooling systems out there (at least when I bought it 7 years ago). Still going strong after 7 years of daily use. No issues.
Cons: None
Pros:
Detailed installation instructions
Very quiet
Very efficient
Super quiet, barely know its running, even under heavy load
Cons: It's size is the only con, and you need to be very aware of how much room you have in your case for this. It was a tight fit, but the performance more than makes up for any sizing issues.
Overall Review: Make sure you pay close attention to your form factor, this will not work in small or some medium form factor cases, it is large. But, it is fantastic, nearly silent even under a lot of pressure and very good at what it does. Could not recommend highly enough.
Pros:
- Incredible performance, will outperform a lot of lower end water coolers.
- Essentially silent
- Very high quality
Cons:
- This may be obvious, but, its MASSIVE - works best with ram modules that aren't very tall.
- Makes plugging things into your motherboard potentially more difficult once installed in a case, due to its size. Get ready for some skinned knuckles.
Overall Review: If you have to go with air cooling, I dont think anything can beat this unit. But due to its size, I switched over to water cooling.
Pros: I have always been a big just coolermaster 212 fan for the price etc. Well I did some minor upgrades and wanted to OC a tad more on my 3570k so I bought it. I have been building computers for years now and have to say I am very very impressed. This thing keeps my 3570k at 4.7GHz nice and cool. Def. worth it and honestly looks pretty clean inside the case. The paste they send is exceptional with it as well and very easy to mount! The thing is just super quiet. Fits inside my Phanteks Enthoo pro M tempered glass case just fine no problems.
Cons: Big but not a con because I knew that prior to purchasing. It does however block a pci-E slot on this particualar motherboard, but I only need one card for 1080P. It will clear gskill sniper RAM if you have.
Overall Review: Wasnt a huge fan of their tan fans but it actually looks decent inside with my white themed Phanteks enthoo pro M case!

Pros: It's been through three of my tower builds. Always get transferred over, and always will.
The first build was an AM3+ socket. Second featured an 1150 Intel 4th generation socket. The current build it cools (very effectively I might add) is something I threw together when my motherboard failed. Socket 775 Intel Core 2 series. It has kept all of those systems, none of which are known for their efficiency, quite cool. Never topping over 65 degrees even after many hours of video recording, editing, gaming, ect. Simply cannot say enough good things about this cooler.
Cons: Nothing a creative individual couldn't work through.
Overall Review: Referencing my comment in the cons section. For many motherboards, this cooler will directly conflict with RAM unless the owner purchases low profile sticks. I originally ran into this issue. I consider this my own fault however. Do your research and take measurements! This heat sink has girth.
It's also very hefty, so care should be taken when transporting builds with this heat-sink installed.
