Can this be stuck to a flat panel LCD type monitor? or is it just the clip?

There is a clip on the back to clip onto your shirt. It won't clip onto anything else and I always tend to break the clips off mine because I forget that it's attached to me when I get up and walk off. I have come accustomed to sticking Velcro onto my lcd and to my mic so I can take it off or leave it on the lcd.

Would this microphone clip onto the top of a flat screen monitor--1" thick?

No it would not, it is designed to clip onto clothing. I would say it would clip onto your standard sized cord for a mouse, or keyboard. Anything larger than that it would break the clip.

This isn't working with new MacBook Pro using soundflower in system preferences for input. What should I use?

It works with standard (mono) audio input jacks.
