I assume they both have power cables; how long are they? I saw a reference to a cable running between the two; what is it for and how long is it? Thanks.

This cable is 5 feet long and it is a normal pair of speaker wire. I believe this speaker wire is used to provide power to the blue tooth reception for the other speaker. Since blue tooth use very little power, you can use similar gauge of speaker wire if you need it to be longer.

How do you enter pairing mode? I am unable to get the device lights to flash blue

I believe after you’ve selected the blue led input by pressing the top knob/button you will hold it down until you see the led alternate between red and blue I believe that is the pairing mode.
