Is this Twain compatible, able to scan Insurance cards, and multipage?

It is Twain compliant I didn't even install the software that come with it I just use acrobat pro. It does scan multi page quite well actually although when I use lines paper from a legal pad it does mis feed on occasion but regular copy or printer paper are perfect, never scanned an insurance card but in occaisoon had to scan a drivers license. It's not perfect but it sure beats the Fujitsu Scan snap models I've had in the past.

I am looking for a photo scanner- to scan a stack of photos at a time? Does this do that?

This is the best scanner I have ever had.  The control center is relatively user-friendly and you can make a two-sided scan in one pass because it scans the front and back at the same time.  Also happy with the scanning speed and quality.

Can you use this to scan documents and then send them to multiple computers on a network? Or do you have to send to one computer?

This is not a network enabled scanner. It does a super fast job of scanning, but it connects to a single PC with USB. You might want to look at document management software like PaperPort. Suggest you visit the PaperPort Google Group on Google Groups for advise.

when it does the file created has a date stamp. This is what you use to be able to tell the date the doc is scanned. This is the options in the file name

No this is a scanner. It works great. Will scan in black and white or color. Will also scan drivers licenses and insurance cards as well. Was well worth the cost. Our office liked it so much we ordered 6 more of them.

What size paper does this scan? 8 1/2 x 14?

Yes, it seems to be able to scan all sizes as long as it is 8 1/2" wide or less.

I need a scanner for the sloe purpose of scanning hundreds of order forms.  All I need is to have the persons first and last name automatically populated so I can search for the order form if I need to. Will the software that comes with this scanner be able to do that?

it can not be done this way. but the program has OCR so you can search inside any document without a title.. Nice
