what program is needed to scan to e mail ?

The epson software will scan to different formats (JPG, PDF, etc.). The scan can be saved wherever you want to save it (documents, desktop, etc.). The file can then be attached to an email. Best I can tell the software that comes with the scanner will not scan directly to email.

is this twain compatible? Are you able to download twain software?

We use a software that required a scanner. The company the developed the software loaded all the drivers.
