I have used this scanner for several years doing physical inventory for my wife's specialty retail clothing store. I believe the term "batch mode only" means that you scan a large "batch" of items into the scanner and then return the scanner to the cradle and read the "batch" into the Quickbooks POS software. That's how you use this scanner.
