How much time does it have for the battery when power is down?

That depends on the load you put on it and the level of activity from your devices.

My setup has my Wifi AC Router, 1 USB HDD, 1 Backup/Media server, 8x140mm fans, and a Raspberry Pi hooked up to it. When power is lost, I still have roughly 45-48 minutes of runtime to shut it all down.

Will this work to give me backup power for my freezer in my garage?

The answer is it depends.  You will need to know the Amps that your freezer draws.  It should be on a label somewhere on the freezer.  Take that number and multiply it by 120 (Volts) and that will give you the VA for the freezer.  The UPS must have a VA rating larger than your freezer to work.  My gut feeling as an Electrical Engineer is you will have to consider at least a 1500 VA UPS.  Good luck.

Question 3

I am desiring to purchase this because of its economical price for both my PC and my reloading powderscale (RCBS Chargemaster). I live in an apartment, and the powderscale fluctuates a lot as voltage in the lines changes. This is NO BUENO.

Both my PC and my reloading bench are in the same room. I worry about the whine that many users have complained about. I need to concentrate when I'm working on ammo, and don't want to get frustrated because some high pitched sound is poking me in the brain.

How bad is it? Can it be insulated/attenuated or low-pass-filtered out? I run an air cooled computer, and the fans make SOME noise, but I don't want to have to turn them on to tornado mode to cover up this thing. Are there alternatives to this unit that have the same features that don't make an audible whine?

There is no whine from my unit.  If I put my ear on the case I can hear a faint hum.  I actually own 3 APC units, this one on my server, a Smart-UPS 1500VA on my main workstation and a J15 on my home theater. NONE of them have any kind of whine.  Hope this helps.  P.S. if the power specs are right, buy it.

What type of replacement RBC battery does this unit use? And how much do they cost?

Question 5

I need to have my iMac set up to this. The only problem is that the closest outlet is 15 feet away. Is it advisable to run an extension cord from this UPS and then plug my Mac desktop into that extension cord?

Extension cords add resistance. If the cord is rated for the load to be place on it, and not any longer than needed, then yes, no problem. Certainly no less than a 16 Ga. extension cord.

what is the battery voltage & size for this ups?

the battery is 12 volt I believe and the replacement battery is a RBC17. Google RBC17 and buy the cheapest, you will likely be replacing it every 4 or 5 years. Depends on the load of the equipment that you have plugged into it (on the plugs designated "battery backup").

Likely you will get 15-20 minutes on a standard sized PC with a couple harddrives and LCD monitor.
