Does This unit come with a Hard drive and a DVD RW drive ? I know I will have to get the 2x2GB mem sticks for the unit.

It does not come with a hard drive but it does have a built in DVD-RW Slim. You are correct that it does not include the RAM, but be sure that you purchase SODIMM (also known as Laptop RAM) 240 pin DDR3 chips.
