The Server Compute Module is based on the new Intel 5520 chipset and will accept up to 2 Intel Xeon 5500 series processors with 2 or 4 cores each. To support all the processing power you can install up to 96GB ECC registered or unbuffered DDR3 800/1066/1333MHz memory.
The module is entirely diskless, giving the capacity for diskless booting and virtual desktop. It also allows for the integration of the Shared Storage Bay and SAN, providing greater flexibility and increased asset utilization.
