On the ps4 is it truly wireless, even for chat, or you still need to connect a cable from the headset to control to chat?

It is still necessary to connect a cable from the headset to the PS4 controller, which is disappointing.  It's my understanding that this has to do with a limitation on Sony's part by locking down the Bluetooth profile on the device, but I'm not certain.  So these "wireless" headphones are not completely wireless, but still much better than being corded all the way to your console.

My son has a PS4 and I just want to make sure that this is compatible?

Yes, not directly out of the box though. you must upgrade the Firmware of the headset first.  if you do choose this headset it will just take a few extra minutes of setup. it is a SIMPLE setup by following the  instructions. after that this is a wonderful headset.

will this set work on pc gaming ?

Yes, however you have to have a card with a digital optical audio output to get full surround experience with these though, otherwise you will just be getting stereo audio, I believe.  You may be able to use bluetooth with the computer as well but I have not tried this.

Will this headset work on a PC ?

Yes but you will need an adapter cable if you plan on using analog for audio and a blue tooth built in or adapter for chat. To take advantage of the headsets sound quality use a modern sound card with optical our and dolby pro logic. It's not initially setup for pc.

Is this Xbox one compatible?

As I understand this is not out of the box xbox one compatible. You need the Microsoft adapter and it will not be wireless. It will be plugged into your controller. I have not tested this yet as i bought it for a Christmas present but for questions or more information you might try the turtle beach website. As another note it is ps4 compatible but not wireless for chat you have to plug into the controller as well i believe.

Does this item have everything you need for gaming on PS3 or computer? Will I have to purchase additional item, such as Bluetooth, etc.???

This item has everything built in you shouldn't need anything other than the right cables.  It has 2 RCA jacks in the back so make sure you can connect to that or use the fiber cable.

How do you recharge the battery? Is there a wire to use it when the battery is dead or are you just stuck til it recharges?

There is a USB-in on the bottom of the earphone that does not have the microphone boom arm attachment.  You can plug it in and charge it while playing or leave it charging when not in use, you should never have to wait for it to charge and not be able to use it.  Pro-tip: Invest in a 6-foot (or longer) USB extender cable unless you want to be very close to your console while charging :)

I'm not exacting sure of your question but you can hear your own voice in the headset.  This is easily the best deal on the internet for gaming headsets.  I don't know how they're selling them for this price but trust me...take the deal...they work great.  I don't buy the 3-star review average...these are solid 4-star cans....good luck.
