can this connect to the ps4?

Unless the PS4 uses something other than basic analog cords and USB then I don't see why it wouldn't.

Is its cord removable from the headset?

The cord is removable from that square peace you see in the picture where it controls the base, treble, Mic, Volume etc.  You can remove it from there and plug it into like a PS4 controller if you want.   The cord is rather short at that point however, about 3 feet.  The full cord with the sound adjuster all together is over 7 feet I think.

The headphones worked great, but the construction was not very great.  After falling from a height of 3 feet on to a carpeted floor about 10 times, it finally broke right where you would adjust them for head size. Then 1 week later the other side broke.  Granted they still worked fine, however now I can't get them to fit against my ears..... even with ducktape lol.   The sound quality was the best I owned so far.

does this headset have the option to plug into a phone or mobile device like the turtle beach Z22s?

you can but u still need all the wires and just having the length of the wire can get a bit uncomfortable

does the headset output any sort of static? because my px21's do a slight bit when i turn down or off the mic monitor thing i dont like. and the static is constant

Do these work with xbox one? I've been searching around but can't find a straight answer. Some say they can only get audio and can't use the mic while a few have said it works fine.

I use this on Xbox360 not sure if they work on Xbox one. I would shop wireless headsets. The wires on this set are a mess.cables everywhere.

how does this headset compare to the Z22 headset by turtle beach? this seems to be the same, but this is compatible with consoles, and it is cheaper. any difference between the two?

The main difference between the PX22 and the Z22 is that the PX22 will work with PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 the Z22 is for PC only.
