Does it work on ps4?

To use the MIC you have to run a wire to the controller. If you want to just use it for sound the headset works wireless. It has NO Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible but not fully functional. Hope this helps.

What makes this headset cost $300?

Couldn't tell you where they got the price from, but I got mine in a ps4 package and they are pretty awesome. I use them with my ps4 and Xbox one and my phone is connected to them also. Bluetooth for almost everything, so when I'm playing a game, if someone calls me, it goes straight to the headset. And it's supposedly surround sound in the headset.

Simple question for anyone using these on the playstation 4... As of 2/12/2014, do these work on ps4? do you still have to be wired or does the wireless compatibility work now? thank you in advance.

Yes, they do work and yes it's wireless. I do recommend getting another fiber optic cable just in case the one that comes with it gets buggy. I have only had one problem with it where the sound gets choppy or distorted but is easily fixable by switching the audio output to and back from hdmi
