Go beyond the solo act and bring your friends along for the wild ride of being in a rock 'n roll band with Rock Band brought to by EA, MTV and Harmonix. Get together to challenge your favorite rock anthem, or "go on the road" in Band World Tour mode and work your way towards rock stardom. Control every aspect from your band's home town, name, logo, playlist and even on-screen persona. Play with 3 other local or online bandmates for in-game cash to spend at the Rock Store to upgrade your performer or compete for band managers, roadies, sound techs or to land that recording deal.
Cooperatively play as lead guitarist, bassist, drummer or vocalist using realistic peripherals – sold separately – with customizable difficulty levels for each player. Hit your combinations to build your Overdrive bonus. If your band can't together, you can hone your skills in "Solo Quickplay" or take on a friend in the competitive "Tug of War" and "Score Duel" modes. Sing and play your way through the over 58 included tracks or the growing library of downloadable online music. Perform tracks from metal to Southern rock to classic rock by artists ranging from the Pixies to the Cars to Judas Priest.
This bundle comes with a guitar controller modeled on the legendary Fender Stratocaster and features a double set of five frets, a whammy bar and an effects switch. It can be used for the lead "axe" or as the bass. The drum controller features four pads which emulate various drum effects along with a functional kick pedal. The USB microphone has authentic heft and lets the player fill in with cowbell or tambourine as appropriate within the music. Both the guitar and drum controllers can be switched for left-handed use.
