Are these items new?

I believe if the description says they are new, they are.  Otherwise they would say 'refurbished'. FYI I like AT&T phones and have always purchased them in the past for my office - this particular model however, stopped working only a couple of months after purchased. The buttons stopped working and I had to go through a rigamaroll to return it (not from Newegg, they're great). So I would  use caution buying this model, from what I've read on the internet others have had problems with this phone (I should have read these before I bought this model - live and learn).

Question 2

In the back of the unit, I see four (4) ports for the the lines (Im assuming?). I currently have an AT&T SB67138 and it has 4 lines. However the 4 lines are split between two phone jacks. The jacks are labeled Line1/Line2 & Line3/Line4. I need a setup that has Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4. If possible, can a picture be uploaded with clear legibility of the lines? If not, can you please specify how the lines are set up? Thank you!

The jacks are RJ11/RJ12.  The RJ11 and RJ12 are the same size, however the RJ11 only has 4 contacts in 6 positions, the first and last positions do not have contacts.  The RJ12 has 6 contacts in all 6 positions.  The center contacts are for lines 1 & 3 while the outer contacts are for lines 2 & 4.

In otherwords,  for an RJ11 jack/plug:
position 1 no contact (not used)
position 2 contact 1 for lines 2 & 4 Black wire
position 3 contact 2 for lines 1 & 3 Red wire
position 4 contact 3 for lines 1 & 3 Green wire
position 5 contact 4 for lines 2 & 4 Yellow wire
position 6 no contact (not used)

Can this phone be paired with cordless phone?

I never tried it but think a 2 line or single line phone will work in a parallel connection.  Over all I am pleased with my 5 phone 4 line system in my small office I got from here

Will the intercom feature work if I only have 2 lines connected?
