Does this camera or others have lights that can be seen at night?

Yes, this camera, like most of them, has IR lights that are visible infrared. The only camera I've had that the lights were not visible are the cheap harbor freight cameras.

I always figure that if the troublemakers can see that light, it might be enough to scare them away, anyway.

will it be able to install on ceiling ?

You could mount it, the weather hood slides off.  My guess is that if you do this the image would be upside down or on its side, because the orientation of the camera as shown cannot be achieved with the mounting plate at the top.

does it come in black? be able mounted on ceiling ? having night vision?

so this is jus the camera itself, on the box does it give instructions on how to install..I have a new computer would I have to have the computer next to it or near by to hook up?  I've never had any cameras installed in my house but need one.

how many amps power source are needed to power this camera?

I'd love to be able to tell you how the camera performs but I have not installed it yet.  The spec sheet that comes with the camera says that the power supply needs to be 12v DC +/- 10%.  The power consumption with IR on is 400 mA max.  Hope this helps.

I bought the q-see system which uses the model QSM5265C cameras.  Are these compatable? In other words can I use these as a replacement for the QSM5265C ?  Thanks, Dave

As long as the connections (bnc) are the same they are interchangeable.

So, It says nothing about connection. How is it connected to my pc, and does it require internet to view recordings? Looking for a cheap usb camera that I can hook strait to my pc and record on an external hard drive to catch intruders.

This has a bnc connector and requires a dvr whether stand alone or pc based.
