Does this have an optical drive? If not, how does one add software?

Pepe M, No it does not have a CD drive. It comes with Windows 8.1 I'm guessing that if you wanted to put another operating system on it, or if you had to ever reinstall software you would do it through a USB or Card device threw the 6-in-1 card reader.

Also note it is not touch screen.

For the price It does what I needed it to do. This was a starter PC that I bought for my dad to update his 8 year old unit.

Only via a USB to VGA/DVI adapter. There are no onboard vga or dvi connections.

Yes, a wired keyboard and mouse are both included. There is no cd/dvd rom drive though.

It is wifi capable as is. You don't need anything else. Just remember for any wifi you need your internet connectionans a wifi router to connect you computer to wirelessly.

should be listed in the data on the webpage. I don't recall I bought this for my dad a few months ago. Fast enough connection though I think its an 802.11 lan card.

Hey Suzan. It sure can. The only real concern is the amount of ram it has and if you have the need to be running multiple programs at once. Say you are just running Photoshop or Illustrator by itself, you should be fine. But, if you needed to run a few of them at the same time, you'll notice a drag due to there only being 4 gbs of ram. Hope this helps!
