Question 1

If im planning on installing an SSD, would it be better to:
- put that in right away before even powering it up for the first time and try to do the initial setup on the SSD
- or should I just start it up and set up windows with the included Hard Disk then put in the SSD and clone the HD?

Trying to clone from a HD down to a SSD is fraught with difficulty, especially as this system is formatted with two partitions, a Windows Boot partition (100 MB) and a Windows System partition (the rest).  If I wanted to start out with a SSD system drive, I would open the case before ever powering up, disconnect the power cable from the hard drive, install the SSD, and on first boot put in the supplied "reinstall" DVD and install to the SSD.  It "should" set up your SSD correctly, with the windows boot partition and the system partition, and at activation recognize the system from the motherboard ID, and automagically activate windows.  Given that works and Computer/properties shows Windows is activated, you should then be able to re-apply power to the (WD Blue) hard drive and reformat as you wish for use as a data drive.  Note that it DOES NOT have a recovery partition on it, so you are not losing that by this process.

I saw this PC a few weeks ago, and it really appeals to me. The only concern that I have is that when I was reading through the reviews, there seemed to have been many issues with overheating. Is this something I would have to worry about if I did end up buying this PC? I don't really know much about computers, so building a PC is completely out of the question.

Thanks for everyone that answered my question! I still have a few questions about it though.

I noticed that it asked me to buy an extended warranty, but I could not find the original warranty. Does anyone know how long the original warranty lasts without the extension?

My other question is how good or bad the wifi really is. I was happy when I noticed that it had wifi, but James said that it is really bad. I enjoy playing online games, which means that my connection from the PC to the Internet router has to be at least pretty decent. It might be possible to use a cable from my PC to the router, but it will probably be a decent distance away. Is there a way to improve the wifi connection, or is a cable pretty much needed?

Does the computer ship assembled or must it be assembled by the customer?

Yes this is assembled, but it is a poor quality "as built" custom system.....We experienced overheating of the processor, the water cooling system is poor,and the high-end processsor overheated from the start.  For those starting out with the system, watch your CPU Temps over time as the system "burns in"...I spoke with Asrock and they indicated the temps were far too high,and that it takes some time for the processor to burn in .  My suggestion stay away: build your own, or go with a company that builds quality systems even at a higher price.

Can you still add or remove parts? I want to maybe add more ram, more storage, etc.

How hard is it to maintain the liquid cooling system, do you have to clean it?

the system is sealed so as long as its functioning correctly id just leave it be. Just keep the dust off it with some can air and keep on coolin B-)

I recently bought this pc and I want to play games like dayz sa but by cpu keeps heating up reaching 70c in a matter of minutes and the cpu cooling liquid so what can be the problem ?

My motherboard went bad after a month and I had to replace it, IBUYPOWER tech support was very helpful with this, and when I pulled off the watercooler for the CPU, the thermal compound was not fully dispersed(only about 1/5 of it was touching O_o). If your temps are getting into the 90C like mine were, I'd check into that.

does this have a solid state drve ? or can one be added?

It does not come with a SSD, but there are 3 extra drive bays in which you can add one. 
I haven't added an SSD yet, but plan to do so soon, and the installation looks like it should be fairly simple as well

You should be looking at the graphics card for gaming performance, which the R9 285 is more than sufficient to run that game. The cpu meets the recommended requirements as well.

HIGH TEMPS????

Hello all, I have had this machine for about 2 weeks and love it. but the thing heats up fast while playing crysis 3 at max settings. my comp says the CPU was at 90C and the GPU was at 84C.

Now I have placed a new 120mm fan on the CPU radiator and two more 120mm fans in the front and it barely helps. the CPU now is at about 85C and the GPU at around 82C.

does anyone have an easy solution or have been having similar issues?

Im seriously thinking about getting a new case over this. my room is usually at about 65F so it cant be that. im getting a little frustrated :( in less demanding games the temps usually dont go over 80C.

Found the cause of the CPU temps, stock thermal compound on the CPU watercooler was not applied correctly, had to clean it off and use other thermal compound I had.
