It would have to be on the same machine or it will blue screen. If you have the physical media or OS downloaded, you can use the COA to activate with Microsoft on another PC rendering the original installed OS deactivated from Microsoft.

can i install evga 8400gs on this machine ?

According to EVGA's website, the card you're asking about is a "low profile" card, which means the VGA connection is on a ribbon.  If you get a low profile bracket with this, then you can omit the VGA connection and just hook up the DVI and HDMI to the new bracket, while the VGA will dangle inside the tower.

This came with a 240 watt power supply.  EVGA's website says the minimum power supply requirement is 350 watts.  In addition to that, the power supply is tiny in size which makes you unable to put 99% of the more powerful replacement power supplies in it.

I would recommend against making this a gaming tower because of the need to upgrade the tiny sized power supply.

I've always answered questions like this from my kids - yes you can. Probably though, you really want to know if they WILL swap the drive prior to shipping to you, and NO they won't, this is a refurb not a "build to order" custom machine. This computer costs $10 more than you can buy a legal copy of Windows 7 Pro - what more do you want?

There is only one vote/rating listed for this offering, and it says the item delivered was not the same one listed as this computer. It says that instead of a Compaq DC7900 that Lenovo with different specs was delivered. Is this an issue for me to be aware of??
