My laptop has an "V-shaped" HDMI port (\______/) which I use to connect my ViewSonic monitor.  Your picture does not show one.  Can you add one on the back?

The HP mini G5 comes standard with 2 display ports, plus there is a window for an optional I/O device. This skew has an VGA port in that space. Some other skews have nothing, a USB-C, or maybe an HDMI port there. It is hard to be sure as the descriptions are not so good. The neat thing is that the little board to plug in there is "easy" to change yourself, videos on Youtube. Best route it to find another skew on Newegg that comes with the HDMI board in that option space.
