The Samsung PN50A550 is designed to be the centerpiece of your home entertainment experience. Every part of it is ready to present you with the ultimate digital video and sound. Providing a full 50" 1080p display at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, the FilterBright screen eliminates glare, even in a sun-filled room, to be easily seen nearly anywhere in the room with a viewing angle of 175 degrees.
Its Digital Natural Image Engine (DNIe) automatically enhances contrast, detail and white balance of on-screen images. A 30,000:1 contrast ratio and 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 18-bit image processing deliver the sharpest image possible. An innovative pixel-shift technology prevents burn-in to get the most out of your screen. The built-in NTSC/ATSC/Clear QAM tuner receives over-the-air broadcast digital signals without any other equipment.
Samsung's SRS TruSurround XT brings full 3-dimensional sound via the twin 10W speakers. Of course, the PN50A550 really shines as part of a larger system and the Anynet+ HDMI-CEC system lets you control CEC-enabled components with only one remote control. Easily connect components using the three HDMI inputs along with a full range of other connectors, including a PC D-sub input. Picture-in-Picture lets you view images and video from multiple sources.
