The new RCA P42WHD500 is a large-screen High Definition Plasma TV that combines stunning image resolution and exceptional aesthetic design to create a stylish and powerful home theater experience.

The 42" screen is surrounded by a beautiful cherry wood finished frame. The two sleek black speakers that flank the frame can be detached and placed in relation to the TV to suit the owners' tastes and needs. The TV is sold with a stylish black stand but it can be hung on the wall as well. The unit has ATSC/NTSC/QAM RF tuning capability. Its display features a 16x9 movie-screen aspect ratio and a resolution of 1024 x 768. It has a brightness rating of 1000 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It is capable of delivering external digital content via component RGB and HDMI inputs as well as external analog content via AV, S-Video and Component inputs.

To ensure a clear, crisp image, video features include adjustable color temperature and backlighting, Gamma Correction, a 3D/YC Comb filter and noise reduction. Sound features include MTS Broadcast stereo, Second Audio Programming (SAP - English, French, Spanish) and Virtual Surround.
