How long is the cord?

I don't remember exactly because I actually bought it as a gift for my mom and only used it once to made use it worked.  I would say it was approximately 3 feet. It was not a short chord from what memory serves me. Hope that helps.

I have barely used it yet.  Nice size and only slightly noisy b/c of the fan. It seems well made.

can i use the dch 1030 to keep my small greenhouse(6X8 ft) warm in winter?  It would have a 50 ft outdoor extension cord plugged from the outdoor 3 prong electrical outlet.

From what I know and not by experience, you need a propane heater rated 4,000-9,000 BTU and approved for indoor/outdoor use; Delonghi DCH1030 1500W SafeHeat Ceramic Heater is rated well below that and it is for indoor use only and is not recommeded be use for outdoor. Hopefully, that answer your question.
