whats the size of the cooking area?

The circle on the top is about the size of the bottom of a 10-inch skillet.  I have have found that most of the energy is transmitted to the center of this area and then flows through the metal of the cookware to the edges.  So smaller pans and larger ones cook equally well.  A 12-inch skillet is not too large for the unit.  Make sure your cookware contains iron or steel,  because the cooker won't work with aluminum.

Question 2

Because of what appears to be a choppy translation, I cannot make heads or tails of the instructions so I cannot even get it to come on and heat.  Can someone explain to me how to operate the cooker?

1. Place a ferrous (stainless steel, cast iron or other "induction ready") pot on the top.  The cooker will not work without a compatible  pot in place. The pot that comes with it will, of course, work.  Aluminum will not.

2. Press the orange power button.

3. Press either the "heating" or "temp" button.

4. Adjust the heat level with  the "+" and "-" buttons (1-9). 7 is the default.

5. (optional)  use the timer, "+" and "-" to set the cooker to shut off in a certain number of minutes.

If you take the pot off the cooker, i.e. to flip an egg, the unit will shut off after 3 beeps unless you set it down again.

I bought Circulon Genesis Stainless cookware for mine. Highly recommended.

If I took an USA or American quart measuring pitcher and poured water into this pot.
How much would it hold.
As in how many quarts or ounces would it take to reach overflowing on the pot that comes with it?
In other words.
What is the capacity of this nicely lidded pot that comes with it?
And what is this nice looking pot made up of?

I do not the capacity of the container (At least a quart). It is made of magnetic material: It has to be to work with an induction device.

Does this cycle on and off high heat for various power settings or is output regulated so lower settings allow constant low heat?

It seems like a constant source of heat for any settings. I must tell you that you cannot adjust the heat with the Temp (in degrees F) or the Heat (amount of Watts) buttons as described. What you get with either buttons are numbers from 7 to 1 that vary the heat with the + or - buttons, where the max heat or max watts used is at 7 when you turn it on.

I wouldn't store it outside, but the top of it is very well sealed and it shouldn't be getting any water into it from the top.  You are aware that you can't use anodized or aluminum cookware? Cast iron and stainless steel are usually fine.

I have never measured it, I rely on the rating on thpot or fry pan that is rated for induction cooking.

i don't know the answer but I do know I do not like the 1502 because it does not indicate the temperature in degrees ( F or C ). Also Tatung does not respond to queries... so I would not buy it...

It is from 1 to 9 I believe. You won't see the actual temperature on it but there is a scale.
