can air conditioner "ears" be attached to this unit?

The air conditioner comes with ears that may or may not be attached. When the ear(s) is attached it has a minimum width of about 1 1/2 inches and will expand to about 5 inches. This would be for each side. My small window did not have enough room to put either ear on. I filled it with a wash towel.

It is 19 and 9/16 inches wide with accordion-style attachments included for wider windows.

I REALLY LIKE this A/C. My room is 25' by 13' with an open hallway.
It has replaced a series of 6000BTU A/C's that just never really cut it.

I have rarely needed to use the high fan setting and the other setting are whisper quiet. I highly recommend this AC

My current unit built in the wall is 27x16. What is the size of this unit?

This is smaller than that, according to LG website, product (WxHxD) is 19 9/16" x 12 3/8" x 19 3/8". BUT this is a WINDOW AC, it is not WALL unit. It could cause safety issue if one tries to put a window ac into wall hole, due to the carbon dioxide emit from the side of the unit cannot be released in time in the wall hole.
