So you have to BUY yogurt to make yogurt? lol

To make yogurt I use a dry starter. The brand I use is in a powder/granular form kept in the refrigerator. Only a 1/8 tsp of starter per @ 2 quart batch; available by shopping on-line or health food stores..  You can use yogurt to make yogurt, but my experience is you have more consistent results with a starter. This is a great yogurt maker. I like the size of the glass cups and the up to 15 hour timer. I reset the timer again to culture the yogurt 24 hours total to be sure the lactose in the milk is used up.

First time yogurt making viewer.  I had no idea.  :)  Can this make Greek Yogurt.  And when do you add the flavoring?

No yogurt makes Greek yogurt. You need to make yogurt first and then remove much of the liquid from the regular to make it 'Greek.' I do it by draining the yogurt in cheese cloth, suspended over a bowl, for a day. Works like a charm.

What ingredients are needed to use this?

Just milk and a couple of tablespoons of  plain yogurt as a started for the bacterial cultures.  Use your favorite variety of milk along with your favorite variety of yogurt to make the same (I.e. No fat to make no fat, low fat to make low fat etc.)

Do you need to boil/heat the milk before putting in the jars or can it heat on its own?

It cannot "pre-cook" the milk at 185F, which is needed to make thick, store-bought style yogurt. After getting milk to that temperature, you need to cool it to 110F before adding your culture, otherwise it'll kill the bacteria. That said, this unit does get the contents to 110F, which is what's needed to culture the bacteria. Personally, I just put cold, whole fat milk mixed with culture in here for 12 hours. It turns out thick enough for my liking.

it is written in the description, but it is still worth asking since sometimes these description are not so accurate, does it works only on 110volt power supply or is it compatible also with 220v?

Yes, but you put the lids on after the yoghurt is done and out of the yoghurt maker (not while it is cooking) and put into the refrigerator. Great yoghurt maker, nice size jars too. Enjoy!
