I have never used your website and I'm wondering if this is a new product or used?

Can it be used without the water filter?

The filter is optional and just snaps in place over the water inlet inside the water tank on the side of the unit. The filter is a activated carbon filter pack that is to improve the taste of the water you use.

How long to brew from point of pressing the button to brew?

The question has two answers. Before you brew you must turn the machine on and let it warm up, which takes 4 minutes according to the user manual. Once it is warmed up, if you push the brew button you should be enjoying delicious hot beverages in about 1 minute.

Can you use your own coffee?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use your own coffee. However, you will need to purchase a "My K-Cup" or equivalent. "My K Cup" is the official Keurig re-usable coffee filter that you can use in Keurig coffee makers that use K-cups. I believe there are other brands of re-usable K-cup coffee filters, but regardless you will need to have one if you want to use your own non-K-cup coffee.

Will not complete the filling of cup and seems to run longer with less results?

It appears that you might need to run some distilled white vinegar (until the vinegar smell is completely eliminated). If you have an owners' manual, the process is described there. Hard water causes the unit to run slower and the "descaling" process (as described above) will clean out the deposits that hard water leaves behind. Hope that helps.

I have the Keurig K45 Elite Brewing System, and I was just wondering how I could get my Keurig to brew cold iced tea, instead of steaming hott. I've tried looking it up on the internet, and I can only find where to purchase the Keurig, no answers as to how to brew cold iced tea from it, when it says it can brew cold ice tea?

This machine does not brew COLD iced tea.  All the "cold" teas I have used require a k-cup to be used as normal, but brewed over ice.  Part of the ice melts which further dilutes the beverage so you can drink.  If it's plan tea, you would simply brew at the smallest setting over ice.

Can I use the MyKCup filter?

Yes you can.  But a better filter in my opinion is the SoloFill filter.  It's only one piece, with a hinged lid that you open to fill with grinds and snap closed.  Much faster and less complicated than the My K Cup.  It does leave a small amount of sediment, so if that's not your cup of coffee, then you might not like it.  Think French Press coffee to have an idea of what the sediment levels are like.

does this model make iced beverages?

Sort of. It requires you to use a cup filled with ice(Remember to use a larger cup or lesser volume setting so the cup doesn't over flow!!!)

Or my preferred method which is brew, cool in fridge, THEN add ice so the beverage doesn't get watered down by quick melting ice!

Does this also dispense hot water? I am looking for a water heater, so wondering if I can use this as a 2 in 1 (coffee maker and water dispenser)

Yes it can act as a hot water dispenser. You may want to put some coffee filter pieces to filter any residue that may loosen during this process.   Good Luck, Keurig works great!
