Question 1

I need additional heat for a 12 x 12 room which houses two parrots which create quite a bit of bird powder (a fine dust that covers everything in the room) - does anyone know how much air is pulled in from outside to create heat in this device or does this work similarly to an oil filled radiator? I am concerned that collection of dust on heating elements will cause it to short out. I have a couple of ceramic heaters in there now but they are so noisy (would prefer silent) and because they pull air in from the back have to be cleaned frequently. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Newegg ask me to share my experience with this heater. I am very satisfied with it. And yes, this work similarly to an oil filled radiator. It has no fan. I live in WA State where this winter we had week of -0 degrees F. This heater heated our large 15' X 20' living room. I set the thermostat to 68 degrees F. We were comfortable.
I have not used the remote other than to test it. I like the set it & forget it aspect.

P.S. I planed on buying another after I tried it but the winter got mild so I will probably wait till next year & see what is on the market.

Question 2

If this has a high and low setting, what wattage is each?

This heater allows you to set the temperature you want and then select the High or Low setting to reach that temperature.
The high wattage is 1500W.  I cannot find the papers that give the wattage for the low setting.
