Question 1

Will this power on the PSU without having to plug into the motherboard? (Looking for alternative to jumping) Or is it just for testing the voltages?

No, it doesn't need to be connected to the motherboard while testing it. The power supplies that I tested weren't even in a computer. Just make sure that you connect the 24 pin motherboard connection and the 6 or 4 pin connectors... If you don't if will display that the power supply is bad...

Question 2

Will it tell me how many watts of power is being consumed?

No, it only shows you if your power supply is good or not (PASS/FAIL) and whether or not each cable is a PASS or FAIL.  You actually have to plug your power supplies main plug into the tester.  Then you can plug individual cables into it to see if those lines are good.

Can this test 3 pin fan extensions or just 4 pin?

I'm not sure, I haven't used it in a long time and I've never tried to test a 3 pin fan. Sorry I'm no help. It's a good little unit for what I use it for though.

I use this product also and it is very reliable.  As far as buying from Newegg to Indonesia?  I really don't have that information for you.  That would be a problem.  This unit can test P4 and P8 connections and all the typical ATX Power supply connections with no problem.  Also 20 and 24 pin.

Question 5

is there a maximum power supply size that it can handle?  Example my power supply is 1050w and other testers can only handle up to 1000.

I have tested a 1500W beast with this before. It works just fine although the more watts put through it the hotter it will get faster. If you are unsure of what you can or cant put through it contact Rosewill support! Although as stated above with personal experiences this thing should work fine with your PSU.

Question 6

When I hook this up, the screen doesn't turn on. Is that normal? Typically the lights turn on, but no display.

The unit requires both the 20/24 pin plug AND either the 4 or 6 pin motherboard plug to be plugged in in order to function.
