I have had issues w/more advanced USB keyboards but only when connected to the keyboard-specific USB port. I've had no issues w/the regular USB 2.0 ports in the back.

Yeah, they do. Whenever I switch over, the previous machine shifts windows etc to the remaining monitors (I only KVM 2 out of my 4).

You need to buy all cables separately except for the power adapter.

Why are there two display ports for each pc? Do you have to use both? If I only use one port per pc, will it still display to both monitors or just one?

If you want two displays coming out of your computer, you need two cables from each computer. To computer A, if only one cable is plugged in then it will only detect one monitor. This is not a DisplayPort topology daisy-chaining device, it's a switch. So that means you will need two cables from each computer, and two cables total for both monitors. This means for the whole setup, you WILL need 6 displayport cables. 2 cables from Computer A to TK-240DP, 2 cables from Computer B to TK-240DP, and one cable from TK-240DP to each individual monitor.
