Does this come with mounts for the speakers? - I want to mount them up in the corners

No.  You can buy aftermarket mounts but the threads may not align.  Cannot find the name of the mounts I purchased but I can say that the threads on the back of the speakers and the mounts I purchased were not the same thread.  The mount thread per inch (metric) was different than the speakers would take.  I had to cross thread the mounts into the speaker to get them to hold.  I believe the speakers come with Unified Thread Standard.  I called Logitech, they don't make speaker mounts, a big mistake.  When you attempt to buy mounts you will find NO information on thread type.  They all miss the point of what a 'thread standard' means.  What are your engineers thinking Logitech??? All that said the speaker system is absolutely fantastic!  Crawling in the attic, moving insulation and pulling wires was nasty but worth the effort.  Hopefully blue tooth is not far off so we can rid ourselves of the wires.

Question 2

What is the length of the speaker wire included for the rear speakers? Should I buy a spool of extra Speaker wire with it?

The wire is 18 Guage. The 3 front wires are 4.6 Meters (~14 Ft.).  The 2 rear wires are 7.6 Meters (~25 Ft). I had plenty of wire left over for my computer sound setup. Mileage will vary of course depending on your setup (living room vs computer room), but I would recommend keeping the guage of any additional wire to 18 to match the guage of the original wire. Hope this helps.

Does it consumes 500W by the PSU of the computer or any power outlet?

No, it does not use The PSU for power. The entire system plugs into a seperate power outlet. Adding to that, the total output of all the speakers is 500w. You would normally never get to the designed limits of this systems output of 500 watts, unless you were dj at a block party!

Does this system set up easily for computer gaming use?

Accepted Answer

It sets up easily whether for gaming or music. Just run the 3 wires from your sound card to the sub and the sub feeds the five speakers. You can also configure regular stereo to play in virtual surround using software.

is this 220volts?

Accepted Answer

The voltage for the Speakers System Z906 is 110-120V at 60 Hz. if you need it higher or at a different Hz, might need to set up a transmer to make it work properly.

Question 6

What's the maximum size of the room that this set of Logitech Z906 500W 5.1 Speakers play loud and still very good quality? For example: this set of speaker maximum for a room that's 40 feet by 40 feet? or maximum room size is 100 feet by 100 feet?

The sound quality is very good from each of these speakers. The subwoofer isn't muddy and drives good low bass.

I would think these speakers would fill a a 25x25 room, the sub may not have enough oomph for truly filling such a room especially if there are lots of people in there absorbing the low freqs. I have not turned the volume up above 60%, no need to for my setup and it's plenty loud, deafening even.

However, the space my setup is in is 15x15. That said, I use it for home theatre, gaming, and home sound. We've had house parties with folks in the house and out on the patio and with twenty to thirty people in and around the house the system works for all.

If you are an audiophile and discriminating you may find faults that my ears won't notice, for me they were a great purchase.

what is the subwoofer dimension?

The subwoofer is 11.5in tall, 11in wide, and 12.5in deep. However, the depth adds one inch for the speaker grille and another two inches for the input jacks and speaker cords to attach. So overall the depth comes out to  a little over 15 inches to be realistic.

When you are looking at the speaker grille face the vent port is on the right side of the case and is about three inches wide. It's totally open so small objects and little hands can get into it. I have mine covered by a lightweight black cloth.

It doesn't matter what direction you point the thing, just that it's solidly on the ground. Mine is sitting under a maple desk on an oak floor and I love the way it sounds in that space.

Some have said the acoustics of the system are below par for their ears, I'm not as good a judge, but I'm very happy with the system in every way.

are these new?

Not sure if you mean whether the product is a new edition or if they are new as opposed to used.

I think Logitech has offered this model of speakers since late 2011 as I have found reviews on the web for them dating to that time.  They are brand new as opposed to used.

I have not opened mine yet as they are a "Xmas present", but I searched to find a replacement for a 5.1 Klipsh system and I thought these were the best for the money.  Newegg had them on sale last week for $299.99.

what is the frequency response of the satellite speakers?

I'm not sure what they are exactly, but I can tell you that the sound quality is pretty great. The satelites are nice and clean sounding. I would strongly reccomend that you only use an optical audio cable to connect these to your PC/TV because the included cable is garbage.

Question 10

Is there any problem with flipping the subwoofer upside-down?  If I get these, I'll need to, due to my desk configuration - else the side vent will be blowing against my wood desk, and I don't think that'll be good.

Assume you mean the cabinet port to the right of the speaker. Not sure why you want to set it under your desk upside down, but I imagine you could do that with no negative ramifications. A better choice (I would think) would be to leave it right side up and just turn the cabinet so the port is no longer hitting your desk. It doesn't really matter with sub-woofers where they're placed as (for all intents and purposes) low frequencies are primarily non-directional... Hope this helps...
