Product Specifications:
Why is my external drive not appearing on my laptop?
Connect directly to your laptop’s USB-C or USB-A port instead of an unpowered hub. Ensure a media player like VLC is installed on Windows 11.
Can this drive be used with a USB hub or extension cable?
We recommend connecting the drive directly to your computer’s USB port. Many customers also use it successfully with powered hubs or short extension cables, but results may vary depending on hub quality and power supply.
The drive makes a sound while operating.
A short whirring sound during disc reading is normal calibration. Use a flat, stable surface for quieter operation.
Why isn't the drive showing up on my Mac?
For Mac users (especially M1/M2/M3), ensure you 'Allow Accessory Device' when prompted. Connect directly to the laptop's USB-C port rather than a non-powered hub to ensure the drive receives full voltage for the spinning motor.
Does the drive get hot while burning?
The exterior casing is designed to act as a heat sink, pulling thermal energy away from the internal laser to protect your data. A temperature of up to 48°C (120°F) is a normal indicator of efficient heat dissipation.
