I am replacing an older version (2007-08) of this PowerVerter which is incompatible with my new Onan GenSet (Cummins Onan 2.5HGJBB-1121A RV QG 2500 2.5kw LP Vapor Propane Generator Trailer Camper RV).  The incompatibility is that the current PowerVerter will not recognize the ac input from the new generator.  I'm told that current versions of this TrippLite model will work with this generator but I need to know before I order.  Is the version you are selling compatible?  Thx.

I have had similar experiences with outside source generators. The newer systems have a very good (brain) safety system that will not allow incoming service unless it is correct. The problem I had was the absence of earth ground. At some point these systems have a jumper that connects the neutral to  ground, since you cannot run down with a ground wire you have to comply in some other fachion. I use a simple wire jumper in a plug plugged into a extra receiptical on my portable generator. Our new systems are a pain, but with all the electronics we currently have, it all has to be correct or we destroy all our neat toys.
