What replacement battery does it require and how many?

Hi Robert, APC themselves will cheerfully sell you a set of replacement cells for the UXBP48 - and if I'm not mistaken you only need to buy "one" set of batteries for it. (It is actually 4 large 13.8V batteries). Per the "answer" I got on APC's forums, the kit you need is an RBC119. If you search on forums dot apc dot com for "uxabp48 need rbc or battery ups charging specs" you should find a very informative post... :) You might be able to find an RBC119 now, I haven't looked in a while.
