can you scan insurance card with this scanner?

Media types listed for this is plain paper, photo, ID Card, Receipt. From experience with several of these in a medical office they will scan thin cards ok but have a little trouble with the thicker ones, like drivers licenses. If small cards are flat they scan better. Many cards from the pocket, wallet, etc. are a bit dirty and will get your scanner dirty also. Routine cleaning helps with this problem. Sometimes a messed up card will have to be copied in a copy machine and then scan the paper copy. Most of ours probably have heavier use than they were made for but they last for us 2 or 3 years.
