Can,compatible with window 10 ?

I bought as a gift for someone else, but they are using with a Dell PC running on Windows 10. Not aware of any problems.

Will this printer work with Mac operating systems?

I have tested this printer on Windows 7, 8, and 10 and on Ubuntu Linux. I would assume since this device works works with Linux it will more than likely work with Mac. I also remember seeing something in a HP forum stating the particular version of Mac OS does matter when it comes to drivers for this printer. I would suggest checking out their site first.

Does this printer do automatic duplex scanning?

Not auto and I have not found a setting to make it do so.

What ink cartridges does the 5740 take?

HP 62 ; HP 62XL you need one black, and one tri-color.Enter an answer to this question.
