The Amaran PT4c LED Pixel Tube 2-Light Production Kit includes two 4-feet battery-powered pixel tubes that are part of Amarans first-ever full-color LED pixel tube series. The Pixel Tube series is comprised of a family of 1-foot, 2-feet, and 4-feet lengths, all featuring multiple Pixel FX, RGBWW color quality, Sidus Link app and DMX control, and USB-C rechargeable batteries packed into their sleek and slender form factor. The 2-Light Production Kit expands this mid-sized multitools capabilities, with not only twice the available light but also the inclusion of mini tripod floor stands and USB-C to DMX adapters to expand creativity and enhance functionality.

Optimal Color Quality

For greater control and color-chasing capabilities, the PT4c features 16 built-in pixels that can be independently adjusted via the Sidus Link app and 7 pre-programmed Pixel FX for a variety of scenarios, in addition to 9 System FX. As a full-color fixture, the PT4cs RGBWW LED chipset produces stellar color quality and accurate skin tones throughout its CCT range of 2,700K to 10,000K with full-magenta control, achieving high CRI (95), TLCI (98), and SSI values across the board, with an SSI (Tungsten) of 85 and SSI (D56) of 75.

Construction

Inside its sleek T12 form factor, the PT4c is powered by a 77Wh internal lithium-ion battery for up to 170 minutes of maximum output. By utilizing a ubiquitous USB-C port, the PT2 can be easily charged and can even fast charge at 32W using USB-C PD to reach full capacity in under 3 hours. Complementing its simple design, each PT4c comes with two clear, 3/8-16 inches threaded magnetic T12 brackets to make mounting as easy as possible. Use the magnets to attach the pixel tube to ferromagnetic surfaces or add a 3/8-16in a spigot or baby pin to mount it to a light stand. The clear design of the brackets ensures that the mounting solutions do not interfere with the quality or output of the light. For additional mounting options, each endcap houses a 3/8-16in threaded mount. The possibilities are endless; with the ability to use splicing connectors1 to arrange the tubes in multiple 3D shapes, like with the Amaran T2c/T4c.

Mechanism

The PT4c can be controlled from the new interface on the back of the tube, featuring the latest UI, or via the Sidus Link Bluetooth app that powers the rest of the Aputure and Amaran product lines. This ultra-capable application can control all the lights in the scene, activate stunning lighting effects, and ensure that the Pixel Tubes are always up to date. For more advanced console controls, a Wired USB-C to 5-Pin XLR In and Out DMX Dongle unlocks DMX control for the entire Pixel Tube product line, like the Amaran T2c/T4c and F-Series products. Combining layers of functionality, battery power, high-quality color, and a high transmittance diffuser that produces a wide 180-degree beam angle, the versatile mid-sized Pixel Tube from Amaran shines as an effect, fill, accent light, and so much more. Lastly, for that extra touch of lighting control, the 45-degree Fabric Light Control Grid will hone the quality of the light to perfection.
