Q: How do I prevent the dough from getting sticky or clogging inside the press outlet?
A: Dough consistency is key for pasta extruders. Maintain a dough moisture ratio of 44-45% (firm and slightly dry to the touch, not sticky). If the dough is too wet, add flour before feeding it into the attachment hub.
Q: Is this attachment difficult to clean after making pasta?
A: Not at all. The entire assembly is detachable. Allow leftover dough inside the outlet disc to dry briefly, then use the included cleaning brush to pop out residue. The detachable plastic components are also dishwasher safe.
Q: Does this work with all KitchenAid stand mixer models?
A: Yes, it connects directly into the standard front attachment power hub of all KitchenAid tilt-head and bowl-lift stand mixers.
