is this compatible with a Yamaha RX-V663 receiver?

Yep it'll work just fine. I have a similar receiver and all you gotta do is run the turntable through the amp and then select whatever input on the receiver. I use the vcr input on mine.

Even with the grounding wire, I'm still getting a hum. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t ground to the pre amp, since the pre amp is not actually grounded itself.  Instead try grounding to your speaker amplifier.  If that does not work then take the grounding wire and “plug” it into the middle circular hole on the wall power outlet.  The middle one is only ground and not connected to the positive or negative power wires.

Dimensions? I 'gues-timate' about 3"L x 2"W x 1.5"H. Since I bought mine, I became disabled, and cannot access my install to give exact measurements. It comes with a AC adapter for power. I hope this helps.
